We have heard the city is raising water rates by about 9.5%. What you have probably missed out on is that there will be other rate hikes that might surprise you on this billing cycle.
If you have 2 water meters, there will be another $8 added to the bill for the second water meter. It was probably presented somewhere in one or more meetings, just happened to miss it.
Also of concern, if you are regularly late on paying your bill, the penalty rate will be increasing from 5% to 10%. Another change I happened to miss.
