The time for celebration is not now. Laura’s announcement
that she will not accept the Place 7 seat for the 2015-2017 term is just a
small step in the right direction. She also needs to resign immediately.
The endgame needs to be the total annihilation of what I
view as one of the most underhanded organizations in Richardson, the Richardson
Coalition. While they may do admirable things like the unsung heroes award,
their other activities in local politics negates any good they do.
Going forward, anyone who seeks the Richardson Coalition’s
endorsement or gets an endorsement from the Richardson Coalition should be shunned.
Think back to all of the elections since 2007. The Richardson
Coalition severely demeans anyone who does not have their endorsement and runs
for the city council. It is my belief this is why we have so few people willing
to run for council, they know they will be unfairly attacked by this group.
It the 2013 election, the Richardson Coalition sold its soul
to make sure their chosen one, Maczka, won the election for mayor. They
published distortions of facts concerning Amir Omar. They have done the same
for previous candidates, shamelessly.
Their choice in 2013 may end up as their downfall. Only the tip of the iceberg is exposed.
Amen! The Coalition and Maczka are getting exactly what they deserve due to the way they set out to ruin Amir Omar's reputation. Pay backs are hell!
